2. What AquaForma provides
AquaForma provides educational information about marine aquariums and reefkeeping, including aquarium setup, water chemistry, equipment, livestock care, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Your purchase includes the content and access described on the product page when you place your order.
The main guide is accessed online. Only resources specifically identified as printable or downloadable are available in those formats. A physical product is not included unless expressly stated.
3. Orders and payment
The total price, including any applicable taxes and additional charges, will be displayed before you complete your purchase.
Please check your order and email address carefully before paying.
Your order is accepted when we send confirmation that your purchase has been accepted. If we cannot fulfil your order, we will explain the issue and refund any payment taken.
The product description and any specific commitments made at the time of purchase form part of your agreement with us.
4. Access to your content
Access is supplied according to the arrangements stated on the product page and in your order confirmation. You may need to create or sign into an account.
Online access requires an internet connection and a compatible device and browser. Any additional technical requirements will be stated before purchase.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. Access is for your personal use and must not be shared, sold or transferred to others without our written permission.
If you do not receive your access details or experience difficulty accessing your purchase, check your spam folder and contact us with your order number.
5. Updates to this edition
Your £45 one-time purchase includes access to the purchased edition of AquaForma and any future updates we release for that edition, without an annual subscription or renewal charge.
Updates may include corrections, revised guidance and additional material. We do not promise a fixed update schedule.
Any substantially new edition or separate product may be sold separately. You are under no obligation to purchase it, and its release will not remove your access to the edition you already purchased.
Nothing in this section limits your statutory consumer rights.
6. Educational information and reefkeeping disclaimer
AquaForma provides general educational guidance. It does not provide veterinary diagnosis, veterinary treatment or an individual assessment of your aquarium.
Every aquarium is different. Outcomes depend on many factors, including water quality, equipment, maintenance, stocking, existing livestock health and how information is applied.
We cannot guarantee particular results, a disease-free aquarium, or the survival, health, growth or compatibility of fish, corals or other livestock.
You remain responsible for the day-to-day care of your aquarium and for assessing whether a particular action is appropriate for your circumstances.
Before making changes:
-
Check your aquarium’s current conditions using suitable testing methods.
-
Consider the requirements and sensitivities of your livestock.
-
Follow manufacturers’ instructions for equipment, additives, chemicals and treatments.
-
Check compatibility and dosage rather than relying on general examples.
-
Seek appropriately qualified advice where necessary.
Information about disease, quarantine, supplements or treatment options is educational and should not be treated as a diagnosis or a guarantee of prevention or cure. Where livestock is unwell, seek advice from a suitably qualified aquatic veterinary professional where available.
These statements explain the scope and limitations of the guide. They do not exclude responsibility where the law makes us responsible.
7. Equipment, treatments and safety
References to particular products, equipment, brands or methods do not guarantee their suitability for every aquarium.
Always follow current product labels, safety instructions and applicable legal requirements. Do not use AquaForma guidance as a reason to disregard a manufacturer’s warnings or instructions.
Electrical installation, repairs and other specialist work should be carried out by an appropriately qualified person where required.
8. Copyright and permitted use
AquaForma text, layouts, graphics and other materials are protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual property rights. Rights belong to us or the relevant rights holders.
Your purchase grants permission to access and use the supplied content for your personal, non-commercial reefkeeping.
You may print or download resources where that option is expressly provided.
Except where permitted by law or authorised by us in writing, you must not:
-
Share your account or access credentials with other people.
-
Copy, distribute, resell or publicly upload the guide or substantial parts of it.
-
Share screenshots or recordings that reproduce substantial parts of the paid content.
-
Use the content to create a competing guide, course or commercial publication.
Purchasing access does not transfer ownership of the content or its intellectual property rights.
9. Cancellation and immediate digital access
You normally have 14 days from entering into the contract to cancel a purchase of digital content without giving a reason.
If you choose to receive access during this period, we will ask for your express consent to immediate supply and your acknowledgement that you will lose your 14-day cancellation right once supply begins.
You lose that cancellation right only when the legal requirements have been met. Agreeing to these terms alone does not replace the separate consent and acknowledgement.
Where your cancellation right remains, you may cancel by emailing aquaforma.official@gmail.com with a clear statement that you wish to cancel. Please include your name, order number and order date so we can identify your purchase.
You may use the following wording, but you do not have to:
“To Marine Reefs / AquaForma: I give notice that I wish to cancel my contract for the following digital content: [product]. Ordered on: [date]. Order number: [number]. Customer name: [name]. Customer address: [address]. Date: [date].”
Any refund due following a valid cancellation will be made within 14 days of us receiving your cancellation notice, using your original payment method unless otherwise agreed. We will not charge a fee for that refund.
Once your cancellation right has lawfully ended, we do not normally offer refunds simply because you have changed your mind.
This does not affect your rights if the content is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails to meet legal requirements.
10. Faulty content and access problems
We must supply digital content that meets applicable consumer-law requirements, including being of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
If there is a problem with your purchase, contact aquaforma.official@gmail.com with your order number and a description of the issue.
We will investigate and provide the remedy required by law. Depending on the circumstances, this may include repair or replacement, a price reduction or a refund.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
11. Our responsibility for loss or damage
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
An unsuccessful aquarium outcome does not, by itself, establish that we have breached our obligations. Responsibility for losses involving livestock, equipment or property depends on the circumstances and applicable law.
We do not exclude or limit liability for:
-
Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
-
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
-
Breach of rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
-
Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
AquaForma is supplied for personal, domestic use. To the extent permitted by law, we do not accept responsibility for business losses arising from commercial use, including lost profit, revenue or business opportunities.
Nothing in this disclaimer removes any statutory rights or remedies you have as a consumer.
12. Availability and maintenance
We will use reasonable care to maintain the digital access we have agreed to provide.
Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, updates or technical problems. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice of planned interruptions.
If an interruption materially affects your purchase, please contact us. We will investigate and provide any remedy required by law.
13. Misuse of access
We may temporarily restrict access where we have reasonable grounds to believe an account is being used for unauthorised distribution, account sharing or unlawful activity.
Where appropriate, we will contact you, explain the concern and give you a reasonable opportunity to resolve it.
Any restriction or termination will be proportionate and will not remove your statutory consumer rights.
14. Third-party websites
AquaForma may link to third-party websites or resources for further information.
Those websites are operated independently and may change. A link does not guarantee the accuracy of their content or mean that every product, service or statement on that website is endorsed by AquaForma.
This does not exclude any responsibility that we cannot lawfully exclude.
15. Privacy
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our website.
Please refer to that policy for information about how we collect, use and protect your personal information.
16. Changes to these terms
The terms provided when you purchase apply to that purchase.
Updated terms will apply to future purchases. Changes to an existing agreement will only be made where permitted by law or agreed with you.
17. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please email aquaforma.official@gmail.com with your order details and an explanation of the issue.
We will investigate and aim to resolve your complaint fairly and within a reasonable time.
18. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
This does not remove any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
You may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable consumer law, including the courts of the UK country where you live.
