About Us

Welcome to Marine Reefs. Thank you so much for your support, without you none of this would be possible. My passion for marine fish and corals was ignited when I took a trip to the Maldives in 2009. I spent the majority of my time under the water looking at the amazingly colourful fish and corals. I loved it so much I literally didn't want to get out of the water. The reef I visited was full of life and healthy corals as far as the eye could see. It was such an amazing experience I decided to revisit the same island in 2018. After putting our cases into our room I ventured straight down to the beach. After loading my camera and armed with my snorkel and fins I got into the water. As soon as I put my face into the water I noticed something different. It became more apparent the further I swam. The corals were not the same and most of them were actually dead! There was hardly anything left at all. The fish were still around just not as many. Bleaching is a real problem!

I decided I would do something about this issue. Marine Reefs began after my first trip in 2009 and I have been gathering my ideas and plans ever since. We started selling briefly a few years back, which was a great success and I managed to support quite a few customers with corals and clean up crew for their marine aquariums.

Well after my shock at seeing the bleached corals in the Maldives in 2018 its prompted me to go even beyond my original plans. I cannot reveal all at the moment due to not wanting to give competitors any ideas. However all will be revealed in time.

To get this venture restarted we are going to start off with offering clean up crew for marine aquariums to get us started. We will then grow into the other areas which will be quite unique in the way we do things compared to others.

I hope you will continue to support myself and this project as you have been doing. Please do follow me on Instagram, Youtube and join our reefing community on Facebook. Speak to you all soon and happy reefing.
